Sustainability
One of our central tasks is to make a social contribution. Climate change and energy shortages have heightened awareness of sustainability worldwide. GSP is therefore consistently committed to sustainable development.
Solar energy in production
Environmental and climate protection are a top priority for us. At our factory in Nanjing, we operate a solar plant with 19,713 square meters of solar cells. This generates an average of around 3.6 million kilowatt hours of electricity per year. Over its planned service life of 25 years, a total of around 90 million kWh will be produced – which corresponds to a saving of 89.73 million tons of CO2.
We are also continuously investing in the expansion of renewable energies: in 2022, for example, a further USD 1.5 million was invested in the construction of two additional 800 kW solar plants.
Sustainable logistics and production
We use electric forklifts instead of diesel forklifts in all our factories, thereby significantly reducing exhaust emissions.
Digitization
We are significantly reducing our paper consumption through consistent digitalization. Our employee magazine is published exclusively in digital form and saves around 3,000 kilograms of paper every year. We also do without printed catalogs and offer high-quality digital versions instead.
Optimized packaging
Our packaging engineers are constantly working on resource-saving solutions. Wherever possible, we do without pallets, as long as the transport quality is guaranteed. We also adapt the box sizes precisely to our products in order to avoid unnecessary material consumption and transportation space.
Virtual factory (VR)
With our VR factory, we make production processes transparent and can be experienced virtually at any time. Customers can access the production facilities worldwide online without having to travel on site. This not only reduces CO2 emissions from business trips, but also improves understanding of our processes and increases convenience for our partners.
